About Country Tails
Country Tails Specializes in Dog Walking and Pet Check-Ins during the day or night while you are away. I offer that mid-day visit or walk needed for a new puppy as well as grown-up dogs who would like to get out and exercise for 1/2 hour or more. A sleepover service is also offered.
Loving care when you are not there. I offer genuine professional care for the well-being of your furry best friend. I have experience caring for an array of dogs and cats. I believe each pet has its own personality and style. I adapt my approach to interacting with your dog based on what I assess they need while in my care.
About me.
My name is Steven, and I grew up in Brooklyn and moved to the mid-Hudson valley about 20 years ago. After working in law enforcement in various NYS Peace Officer titles for over 30 years, I knew I wanted to finish my career by spending time with dogs and cats.
In addition to caring for my pets, I have been regularly volunteering at a dog rescue/shelter a short distance from my home for over ten years. As long as the weather allows, I typically walk over 5 miles weekly with different shelter dogs. Besides my large dogs, the shelter dogs are primarily Rottweilers, so handling large dogs is fine for me. The owner/operator of the shelter has agreed to speak with any prospective clients to offer a reference.
